What makes ScammersCheck different
Most scam checkers are database lookups — they can only tell you about scams that have already been widely reported. ScammersCheck goes further.
Context alongside reputation data
Where it applies, contextual analysis considers the submitted content and evidence returned by relevant checks. It is one input to an explainable risk indicator, not a guarantee.
Technical context for relevant URLs
When available, registration, certificate, hosting, reputation, and blocklist evidence can provide context even where a single source has no prior record.
Screenshot analysis
Users can upload a photo of a suspicious text, email, or letter. Image extraction identifies visible phone numbers, URLs, and email addresses; the user chooses which extracted item to check. Sensitive information should be redacted before upload.
Full transparency
Every signal is shown individually with its source, severity, and plain-English explanation. No black-box scores — users see exactly what fired and why.
Shareable result links with review safeguards
Result links can help people discuss the evidence. They are not accusations or permanent records, and people can request a correction or removal review for an inaccurate or sensitive result.
Data sources
Sources are selected by input type and may be unavailable or have no data. Returned evidence is aggregated into a transparent verdict with individual signal attribution.
