1. Acceptance

By accessing or using ScammersCheck (scammerscheck.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Nature of the service

ScammersCheck is an informational tool that aggregates signals from multiple third-party threat intelligence sources to produce a risk indicator. Results are indicators only, not definitive determinations of fraud or criminality. A "high risk" verdict does not mean an entity is definitively a scammer, and a "no threats found" verdict does not guarantee an entity is safe. You must exercise your own judgement before acting on any result.

3. Permitted use

You may use ScammersCheck for personal, non-commercial research to help assess whether a phone number, URL, email address, or text message may be associated with fraudulent activity. You may not use the service to harass, defame, or make false accusations against any individual or organisation.

4. Prohibited use

You must not use ScammersCheck to:

  • Submit content you do not have the right to share
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or bulk-query the service in an automated manner beyond normal use
  • Submit false community reports intended to manipulate verdicts
  • Use results to make employment, credit, insurance, or housing decisions about individuals (the service is not a consumer reporting agency)

5. Community reports

By submitting a community report, you confirm that your report is based on your genuine experience and is not submitted maliciously. We reserve the right to remove reports that we reasonably believe are false or submitted in bad faith.

6. Disputes

If you believe a check result about you or your organisation is inaccurate, you may submit a dispute using the Dispute form on the relevant result page. We will review disputes in good faith but cannot guarantee removal or amendment of results that are based on third-party data sources.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

ScammersCheck is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate, complete, or up to date. We rely on third-party data sources that may themselves contain errors or outdated information.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScammersCheck and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or reliance on the service or its results.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
